She Lives Within

A sad little girl from long, long ago
Tries to run and hide so the tears won’t show
She can’t run far for she lives deep within me
She is sad, very sad …. oh please, can’t you see
Come hold her it’s dark and it’s getting late
Neglect and despair…. have they sealed her fate
Sobbing and desperate we fall to the floor
As she whispers I can’t play this game anymore
We rock back and forth, alone she and I
And with strength from within I say we must try
There are those that love us and want us to stay
Close your eyes, hold on tight, it will soon be day
For what seems like an eternity really won’t last
And this sadness will someday be a thing of the past

This is such a sad sad poem and I am so so so so sorry for this little girl within and all that she suffered. I want to hold her and comfort her and pray her wounds are healing and that she can and is growing to her full potential now. Aassuring her she did not deserve the neglect and bad treatment. She is a survivior!
Hugs hugs and more good healthy hugs.
